सत्कृत्यामन्त्रिताः सर्वे आचार्य परमुखा नृपाः गान्धारराजः सुबलः शकुनिश च महाबलः ॥ २-३१-६ ॥

'All the kings, honored and duly invited, along with the foremost among them—the preceptors and leaders; Suvala, the king of Gandhara, and Sakuni, endowed with great strength—were present.' ॥ 2-31-6 ॥

अचलॊ वृषकश चैव कर्णश च रथिनां वरः ऋतः शल्यॊ मद्रराजॊ बाह्लिकश च महारथः ॥ २-३१-७ ॥

'Achala, Vrishaka, and Karna, the foremost of charioteers; and Ritha, Shalya, the king of Madra, and Bhahlika, the great warrior—were also present.' ॥ 2-31-7 ॥

सॊमदत्तॊ ऽथ कौरव्यॊ भूरिर भूरिश्रवाः शलः अश्वत्थामा कृपॊ दरॊणः सैन्धवश च जयद्रथः ॥ २-३१-८ ॥

'Somadatta, the Kaurava, Bhuri, Bhurisravas, and Sala; Aswatthama, Kripa, Drona, and Jayadratha, the ruler of Sindhu—were also present.' ॥ 2-31-8 ॥

'Yajnasena with his sons, Shalva, the lord of the earth, Pragjyotisha, and Bhagadatta, the renowned king—were also present.' ॥ 2-31-9 ॥

'Along with all the other kings, as well as the Mlechchas (barbarian tribes) and those dwelling by the seas; and the mountain kings, and the great king Bhridbala were also present.' ॥ 2-31-10 ॥
