यत्र यूपा मणिमयाश चित्याश चापि हिरन मयाः शॊभार्थं विहितास तत्र न तु दृष्टान्ततः कृताः ।। २-३-११ ।।

sanskrit

'There, on its shores, O best among the Bharatas, the illustrious lord of all beings, Indra, conducted a hundred great sacrifices. For the sake of adornment, not following conventional norms, sacrificial stakes crafted from jewels and altars made of gold were erected.' ।। 2-3-11 ।।

'In that sacred place, following those sacrifices, the thousand-eyed lord of Shachi attained triumph. There, the fierce Mahadeva, the eternal ruler of all beings, having created the entire cosmos, has established his dwelling. He is revered by thousands of spirits and worshipped with profound reverence.' ।। 2-3-12 ।।

yatreSTvA sa gataH siddhiM sahasrAkSaH zacIpatiH yatra bhUtapatiH sRSTvA sarvalòkAna sanAtanaH upAsyate tigmatejA vRtò bhUtaiH sahasrazaH || 2-3-12 ||

'There, Nara and Narayana, Brahma, Yama, and Sthanu, the fifth, perform their sacrifices once every thousand yugas.' ।। 2-3-13 ।।
