ततः शाकलम अभ्येत्य मद्राणां पुटभेदनम मातुलं परीतिपूर्वेण शल्यं चक्रे वशे बली ॥ २-२९-१३ ॥

sanskrit

'The mighty hero, proceeding to Sakala, the city of the Madras, brought his uncle Shalya under the sway of the Pandavas with affection. O king, the illustrious prince, deserving of his uncle's hospitality and entertainment, was received with great honor.' ॥ 2-29-13 ॥

english translation

tataH zAkalama abhyetya madrANAM puTabhedanama mAtulaM parItipUrveNa zalyaM cakre vaze balI ॥ 2-29-13 ॥
