उभौ बलवृतौ वीराव उभौ तीव्रपराक्रमौ निर्जित्याजौ महाराज वङ्ग राजम उपाद्रवत ॥ २-२७-२१ ॥
'Both heroes were surrounded by armies, both of fierce valor. Having conquered them in battle, O great king, he then rushed against the king of Vanga.' ॥ 2-27-21 ॥

समुद्रसेनं निर्जित्य चन्द्र सेनं च पार्थिवम ताम्रलिप्तं च राजानं काचं वङ्गाधिपं तथा ॥ २-२७-२२ ॥
'Having conquered Samudrasena and King Chandrasena, as well as the king of Tamralipti and Kacha, the lord of Vanga,' ॥ 2-27-22 ॥

सुह्मानाम अधिपं चैव ये च सागरवासिनः सर्वान मलेच्छ गणांश चैव विजिग्ये भरतर्षभः ॥ २-२७-२३ ॥
'Having conquered the rulers of the Suhmas, as well as the kings dwelling on the seashore, the bull among the Bharatas then subdued all the Mlechchha tribes.' ॥ 2-27-23 ॥

एवं बहुविधान देशान विजित्य पवनात्मजः वसु तेभ्य उपादाय लौहित्यम अगमद बली ॥ २-२७-२४ ॥
'The mighty son of the wind-god, having thus conquered numerous lands and exacted tributes from them all, advanced towards Lohity.' ॥ 2-27-24 ॥
