ततः परमविक्रान्तॊ बाह्लीकान कुरुनन्दनः महता परिमर्देन वशे चक्रे दुरासदान ॥ २-२४-२१ ॥
'Endowed with great prowess as the son of Indra, he forcefully subdued the Valhikas, who were known for their resilience.' ॥ 2-24-21 ॥

गृहीत्वा तु बलं सारं फल्गु चॊत्सृज्य पाण्डवः दरदान सह काम्बॊजैर अजयत पाकशासनिः ॥ २-२४-२२ ॥
'Arjuna then gathered a select force and defeated the Daradas along with the Kambojas. ' ॥ 2-24-22 ॥

परागुत्तरां दिशं ये च वसन्त्य आश्रित्य दस्यवः निवसन्ति वने ये च तान सर्वान अजयत परभुः ॥ २-२४-२३ ॥
'Then the illustrious son of Indra defeated the bandit tribes inhabiting the northeastern frontiers and those dwelling in the forests.' ॥ 2-24-23 ॥

लॊहान परमकाम्बॊजान ऋषिकान उत्तरान अपि सहितांस तान महाराज वयजयत पाकशासनिः ॥ २-२४-२४ ॥
'And, O great king, the son of Indra also subjugated the allied tribes of the Lohas, the eastern Kambojas, and northern Rishikas.' ॥ 2-24-24 ॥

ऋषिकेषु तु संग्रामॊ बभूवातिभयं करः तारका मय संकाशः परमर्षिक पार्थयॊः ॥ २-२४-२५ ॥
'The battle with the Rishikas was exceedingly fierce. It rivaled the legendary conflicts between gods and Asuras, where Taraka, the wife of Brihaspati, was the catalyst for immense slaughter, much like the confrontation that ensued between them and the son of Pritha.' ॥ 2-24-25 ॥
