स विजित्य ततॊ राजन्न ऋषिकान रणमूर्धनि शुकॊदर समप्रख्यान हयान अष्टौ समानयत मयूरसदृशान अन्यान उभयान एव चापरान ॥ २-२४-२६ ॥

'Having defeated the Rishikas in battle, O king, Arjuna took from them as tribute eight horses of the color of a parrot's breast, along with others resembling peacocks, born in northern and other regions, endowed with great speed.' ॥ 2-24-26 ॥

english translation

sa vijitya tatò rAjanna RSikAna raNamUrdhani zukòdara samaprakhyAna hayAna aSTau samAnayata mayUrasadRzAna anyAna ubhayAna eva cAparAna ॥ 2-24-26 ॥

स विनिर्जित्य संग्रामे हिमवन्तं स निष्कुटम शवेतपर्वतम आसाद्य नयवसत पुरुषर्षभः ॥ २-२४-२७ ॥

'Finally, after conquering both the Himalayas and the Nishkuta mountains, that foremost among men encamped upon the snowy peak of the White mountains.' ॥ 2-24-27 ॥

sa vinirjitya saMgrAme himavantaM sa niSkuTama zavetaparvatama AsAdya nayavasata puruSarSabhaH ॥ 2-24-27 ॥
