भयार्ताय ततस तस्मै कृष्णॊ दत्त्वाभयं तदा अभ्यषिञ्चत तत्रैव जरासंधात्मजं तदा ।। २-२२-४१ ।।

sanskrit

'Then that best of men, Krishna, giving every assurance unto the prince afflicted with fear, accepted those presents of his of great value. And Krishna joyfully installed the prince there and then in the sovereignty of Magadha.' ।। 2-22-41 ।।

english translation

bhayArtAya tatasa tasmai kRSNò dattvAbhayaM tadA abhyaSiJcata tatraiva jarAsaMdhAtmajaM tadA || 2-22-41 ||

गत्वैकत्वं च कृष्णेन पार्थाभ्यां चैव सत्कृतः विवेश राजा मतिमान पुनर बार्हद्रथं पुरम ।। २-२२-४२ ।।

sanskrit

'The strong-armed and illustrious son of Jarasandha, installed on the throne by those most exalted of men, and having secured the friendship of Krishna, along with the respectful kindness shown by the sons of Pritha, returned to his father's city.' ।। 2-22-42 ।।

english translation

gatvaikatvaM ca kRSNena pArthAbhyAM caiva satkRtaH viveza rAjA matimAna punara bArhadrathaM purama || 2-22-42 ||

कृष्णस तु सह पार्थाभ्यां शरिया परमया जवलन रत्नान्य आदाय भूरीणि परययौ पुष्करेक्षणः ।। २-२२-४३ ।।

sanskrit

'And that bull amongst men, Krishna, accompanied by the sons of Pritha and graced with great good fortune, left the city of Magadha, laden with numerous jewels.' ।। 2-22-43 ।।

kRSNasa tu saha pArthAbhyAM zariyA paramayA javalana ratnAnya AdAya bhUrINi parayayau puSkarekSaNaH || 2-22-43 ||

'Accompanied by the two sons of Pandu, Achyuta (Krishna) arrived at Indraprastha, and approaching Yudhishthira joyfully addressing that monarch said.' ।। 2-22-44 ।।

indraprasthama upAgamya pANDavAbhyAM sahAcyutaH sametya dharmarAjAnaM parIyamANò 'bhayabhASata || 2-22-44 ||

'O best of kings, by good fortune, mighty Jarasandha has been slain by Bhima, and all the kings who were confined at Girivraja have been set free.' ।। 2-22-45 ।।

diSTyA bhImena balavAJa jarAsaMdhò nipAtitaH rAjAnò mòkSitAza ceme bandhanAna nRpasattama || 2-22-45 ||
