जहि तवं सदृशेष्व एव मानं दर्पं च मागध मा गमः ससुतामात्यः सबलश च यमक्षयम ।। २-२०-२१ ।।
'Therefore, I speak thus. O king of Magadha, set aside your superiority and pride in the company of your equals. Do not go, O king, with your children, ministers, and army, into the realm of Yama.' ।। 2-20-21 ।।
मुमुक्षमाणास तवत्तश च न वयं बराह्मण बरुवाः शौरिर अस्मि हृषीकेशॊ नृवीरौ पाण्डवाव इमौ ।। २-२०-२३ ।।
'We are not Brahmins seeking liberation, O king. I am Hrishikesha, also known as Sauri, and these two heroes among men are the sons of Pandu.' ।। 2-20-23 ।।
'Jarasandha said, "I never hold a king captive without first defeating him in battle. Who here has been kept captive without being defeated?' ।। 2-20-25 ।।
