[व] उषित्वा खाण्डव परस्थे सुखवासं जनार्दनः पार्थैः परीतिसमायुक्तैः पूजनार्हॊ ऽभिपूजितः ॥ २-२-१ ॥
'Vaisampayana narrated, "Janardana, worthy of the worship of all, dwelled contentedly in Khandavaprastha for a period, receiving respectful love and affection from the sons of Pritha."' ॥ 2-2-1 ॥

[va] uSitvA khANDava parasthe sukhavAsaM janArdanaH pArthaiH parItisamAyuktaiH pUjanArhò 'bhipUjitaH ॥ 2-2-1 ॥
