अथ दीर्घस्य कालस्य तपॊवनगतॊ नृपः सभार्यः सवर्गम अगमत तपस तप्त्वा बृहद्रथः ॥ २-१७-२४ ॥
'Vaisampayana continued, "King Vrihadratha, after residing in the woods for a considerable time and practicing ascetic penances, finally ascended to heaven along with his wives."' ॥ 2-17-24 ॥

atha dIrghasya kAlasya tapòvanagatò nRpaH sabhAryaH savargama agamata tapasa taptvA bRhadrathaH ॥ 2-17-24 ॥
