'Yudhishthira replied, "With your intelligence, you have spoken what no one else could say. There is none else on earth who can resolve all doubts like you."' ।। 2-14-1 ।।
कथं परानुभावज्ञः सवं परशंसितुम अर्हति परेण समवेतस तु यः परशस्तः स पूज्यते ।। २-१४-३ ।।
'Truly, the title of emperor is difficult to attain. One who understands the valor and strength of others does not praise himself. The one who deserves real admiration is the one who, in battles with enemies, conducts himself commendably.' ।। 2-14-3 ।।
'O upholder of the honor of the Vrishni lineage, just as the wide earth adorned with many jewels, human desires and inclinations are diverse and extensive.' ।। 2-14-4 ।।
शमम एव परं मन्ये न तु मॊक्षाद भवेच छमः आरम्भे पारमेष्ठ्यं तु न पराप्यम इति मे मतिः ।। २-१४-५ ।।
'Just as experience is often gained only through traveling far from home, so salvation can never be attained except by adhering to principles that are elevated beyond our ordinary desires and inclination.' ।। 2-14-5 ।।
