'I consider peace of mind to be paramount, as it leads to my prosperity. In my view, if I were to undertake this sacrifice, I might not achieve the highest reward. O Janardana, endowed with vigor and wisdom, those born in our lineage believe that one among us will eventually rise as the foremost among all Kshatriyas.' ।। 2-14-6 ।।
'O King, generally, a vigilant but weak person can defeat a strong enemy Through proper conduct, pursuing beneficial policies for oneself.' ।। 2-14-8 ।।
'In Krishna resides strategy, in myself strength, and in Arjuna victory. Thus, like the three ritual fires that complete a sacrifice, we shall bring about the downfall of the king of Magadha.' ।। 2-14-9 ।।
