शाल्वेयानां च राजानः सॊदर्यानुचरैः सह दक्षिणा ये च पाञ्चालाः पूर्वाः कुन्तिषु कॊशलाः ॥ २-१३-२६ ॥
'The king of the Salwayana tribe, along with their kinsmen and followers, as well as the southern Panchalas and the eastern Kosalas, have all sought refuge in the land of the Kuntis.' ॥ 2-13-26 ॥
english translation
zAlveyAnAM ca rAjAnaH sòdaryAnucaraiH saha dakSiNA ye ca pAJcAlAH pUrvAH kuntiSu kòzalAH ॥ 2-13-26 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथॊत्तरां दिशं चापि परित्यज्य भयार्दिताः मत्स्याः संन्यस्तपादाश च दक्षिणां दिशम आश्रिताः ॥ २-१३-२७ ॥
'So also the Matsyas and the Sannyastapadas, overcome with fear, leaving their dominions in the north, have fled into the southern country.' ॥ 2-13-27 ॥
english translation
tathòttarAM dizaM cApi parityajya bhayArditAH matsyAH saMnyastapAdAza ca dakSiNAM dizama AzritAH ॥ 2-13-27 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptतथैव सर्वपाञ्चाला जरासंध भयार्दिताः सवराष्ट्रं संपरित्यज्य विद्रुताः सर्वतॊदिशम ॥ २-१३-२८ ॥
'And so all the Panchalas, alarmed at the power of Jarasandha, have left their kingdom and fled in all directions.' ॥ 2-13-28 ॥

tathaiva sarvapAJcAlA jarAsaMdha bhayArditAH savarASTraM saMparityajya vidrutAH sarvatòdizama ॥ 2-13-28 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptकस्य चित तव अथ कालस्य कंसॊ निर्मथ्य बान्धवान बार्हद्रथ सुते देव्याव उपागच्छद वृथा मतिः ॥ २-१३-२९ ॥
'After some time, Kamsa, having oppressed his relatives, Approached the two queens, daughters of Brihadratha, with evil intent.' ॥ 2-13-29 ॥

kasya cita tava atha kAlasya kaMsò nirmathya bAndhavAna bArhadratha sute devyAva upAgacchada vRthA matiH ॥ 2-13-29 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअस्तिः पराप्तिश च नाम्ना ते सहदेवानुजे ऽबले बलेन तेन स जञातीन अभिभूय वृथा मतिः ॥ २-१३-३० ॥
'They are named Asti and Prapti, sisters of Sahadeva. Strengthened by this alliance, the fool persecuted his relatives and gained dominance over them all.' ॥ 2-13-30 ॥

astiH parAptiza ca nAmnA te sahadevAnuje 'bale balena tena sa jaJAtIna abhibhUya vRthA matiH ॥ 2-13-30 ॥
