समाप्य च हरिश चन्द्रॊ महायज्ञं परतापवान अभिषिक्तः स शुशुभे साम्राज्येन नराधिप ।। २-११-६१ ।।
'After completing his grand sacrifice, the mighty Harishchandra ascended to the throne, ruling over the earth with resplendence, O king.' ।। 2-11-61 ।।
ये चान्ये ऽपि महीपाला राजसूयं महाक्रतुम यजन्ते ते महेन्द्रेण मॊदन्ते सह भारत ।। २-११-६२ ।।
'O bull of the Bharata lineage, those monarchs who perform the Rajasuya sacrifice reside joyfully in the company of Indra, enjoying felicity.' ।। 2-11-62 ।।
ये चापि निधनं पराप्ताः संग्रामेष्व अपलायिनः ते तत सदॊ समासाद्य मॊदन्ते भरतर्षभ ।। २-११-६३ ।।
'And, O bull of the Bharata lineage, those kings who sacrifice their lives without retreating from the battlefield attain Indra's abode and dwell there joyfully with him.' ।। 2-11-63 ।।
तपसा ये च तीव्रेण तयजन्तीह कलेवरम ते ऽपि तत सथानम आसाद्य शरीमन्तॊ भान्ति नित्यशः ।। २-११-६४ ।।
'Similarly, those who relinquish their bodies after rigorous ascetic penances also attain to that realm and shine brightly there for ages.' ।। 2-11-64 ।।
पिता च तव आह कौन्तेय पाण्डुः कौरवनन्दनः हरिश चन्द्रे शरियं दृष्ट्वा नृपतौ जातविस्मयः ।। २-११-६५ ।।
'O king of the Kuru lineage, O son of Kunti, your father Pandu, upon witnessing the prosperity of Harishchandra and greatly marveling at it, has narrated something to you.' ।। 2-11-65 ।।
