तस्य सर्वे महीपाला धनान्य आजह्रुर आज्ञया दविजानां परिवेष्टारस तस्मिन यज्ञे च ते ऽभवन ॥ २-११-५६ ॥
'And all the kings of the earth brought wealth at his command to that sacrifice. They all consented to distribute food and gifts to the Brahmanas who were fed on that occasion.' ॥ 2-11-56 ॥
english translation
परादाच च दरविणं परीत्या याजकानां नरेश्वरः यथॊक्तं तत्र तैस तस्मिंस ततः पञ्च गुणाधिकम ॥ २-११-५७ ॥
'During that sacrifice, King Harishchandra generously gave wealth five times the amount requested by each petitioner.' ॥ 2-11-57 ॥
english translation
अतर्पयच च विविधैर वसुभिर बराह्मणांस तथा परासर्प काले संप्राप्ते नानादिग्भ्यः समागतान ॥ २-११-५८ ॥
'As the ceremony concluded, he delighted Brahmins from different lands with abundant gifts of diverse treasures.' ॥ 2-11-58 ॥
english translation
भक्ष्यैर भॊज्यैश च विविधैर यथा कामपुरस्कृतैः रत्नौघतर्पितैस तुष्टैर दविजैश च समुदाहृतम तेजस्वी च यशस्वी च नृपेभ्यॊ ऽभयधिकॊ ऽभवत ॥ २-११-५९ ॥
'Satisfied with sumptuous food, exquisite items, and jewels distributed according to their wishes, the Brahmins proclaimed, "King Harishchandra surpasses all in prowess and fame."' ॥ 2-11-59 ॥
english translation
एतस्मात कारणात पार्थ हरिश चन्द्रॊ विराजते तेभ्यॊ राजसहस्रेभ्यस तद विद्धि भरतर्षभ ॥ २-११-६० ॥
'And know, O monarch, O bull of the Bharata race, it was for this reason that Harishchandra surpassed thousands of other kings in radiance.' ॥ 2-11-60 ॥
