किम उक्तवांश च भगवन्न एतद इच्छामि वेदितुम तवत्तः शरॊतुम अहं सर्वं परं कौतूहलं हि मे ॥ २-११-५१ ॥
'Has he shared anything with you, O venerable one of exemplary vows? Please tell me everything, as I am eager to hear all of this from you.' ॥ 2-11-51 ॥
english translation
[न] यन मां पृच्छसि राजेन्द्र हरिश चन्द्रं परति परभॊ तत ते ऽहं संप्रवक्ष्यामि माहात्म्यं तस्य धीमतः ॥ २-११-५२ ॥
'Narada replied, "O king of kings, I shall indeed tell you all that you ask about Harishchandra. I will now narrate to you his extraordinary virtues.' ॥ 2-11-52 ॥
english translation
स राजा बलवान आसीत सम्राट सर्वमहीक्षिताम तस्य सर्वे महीपालाः शासनावनताः सथिताः ॥ २-११-५३ ॥
'He was a mighty king, an emperor who ruled over all the kings of the earth. All the monarchs of the earth obeyed his command.' ॥ 2-11-53 ॥
english translation
तेनैकं रथम आस्थाय जैत्रं हेमविभूषितम शस्त्रप्रतापेन जिता दवीपाः सप्त नरेश्वर ॥ २-११-५४ ॥
'Mounted alone on a victorious chariot adorned with gold, he conquered the entire earth with its seven continents through his prowess in warfare.' ॥ 2-11-54 ॥
english translation
स विजित्य महीं सर्वां स शैलवनकाननाम आजहार महाराज राजसूयं महाक्रतुम ॥ २-११-५५ ॥
'And, O monarch, after subjugating the entire earth with its mountains, forests, and woods, he prepared for the grand Rajasuya sacrifice.' ॥ 2-11-55 ॥
