[न] पुरा देवयुगे राजन्न आदित्यॊ भगवान दिवः आगच्छन मानुषं लॊकं दिदृक्षुर विगतक्लमः ॥ २-११-१ ॥
'Narada said, "Listen to me, O child, as I describe the assembly house of the Grandsire, a place beyond description. In the ancient Krita (Golden) Age, O King, the exalted deity Aditya once descended from heaven to the world of men."' ॥ 2-11-1 ॥
english translation
चरन मानुषरूपेण सभां दृष्ट्वा सवयं भुवः सभाम अकथयन मह्यं बराह्मीं तत्त्वेन पाण्डव ॥ २-११-२ ॥
'Having previously seen the assembly house of Brahma, the Self-created, Aditya cheerfully wandered over the Earth in human form, eager to witness all that could be seen here. It was on that occasion, O son of Pandu, that the god of the day spoke to me;' ॥ 2-11-2 ॥
english translation
अप्रमेयप्रभां दिव्यां मानसीं भरतर्षभ अनिर्देश्यां परभावेन सर्वभूतमनॊरमाम ॥ २-११-३ ॥
'O bull of the Bharata race, about the celestial assembly of the Grandsire. This assembly is immeasurable, immaterial, and indescribable in form and shape, capable of delighting the heart of every creature with its splendor.' ॥ 2-11-3 ॥

शरुत्वा गुणान अहं तस्याः सभायाः पाण्डुनन्दन दर्शनेप्सुस तथा राजन्न आदित्यम अहम अब्रुवम ॥ २-११-४ ॥
'O bull of the Bharata race, upon hearing of the merits of that assembly, I became desirous of beholding it. Thus, O King, I asked Aditya, saying ' ॥ 2-11-4 ॥
english translation
भगवन दरष्टुम इच्छामि पितामह सभाम अहम येन सा तपसा शक्या कर्मणा वापि गॊपते ॥ २-११-५ ॥
'O exalted one, I desire to behold the sacred assembly of the Grandsire. O lord of light, tell me by what ascetic penances, acts, charms, or rites I may be enabled to behold that excellent, sin-cleansing assembly.' ॥ 2-11-5 ॥
