प्रेक्षणमन्यमनस्कस्य । राजमार्गे च प्रासादस्थायास्तत्र विदिताया व्रीडा शाठ्यनाशः ॥ २१ ॥

देखने की विधि - सड़क पर जाते हुए अन्यमनस्क नायक को निर्निमेष दृष्टि से देखे, दूर निकल जाने पर झरोखे से देखे और यदि उसकी दृष्टि पड़ जाये तो शरमा जाये ॥ २१ ॥

तद्द्वेष्ये द्वेष्यता। तत्प्रिये प्रियता । तद्रम्ये रतिः । तमनु हर्षशोकौ । स्त्रीषु जिज्ञासा । कोपश्चादीर्घः ॥ २२ ॥
She hates what he hates, loves what he loves. She lives according to his pleasure, showing sadness or gaiety with him. If he wants another woman, she is annoyed, but not for long.

व्यवहार की विधि - नायक के शत्रु को अपना शत्रु समझे, उसके प्रेमी से प्रेम रखे, उसके मनोनुकूल स्थान पर समागम करे, उसके हर्ष में हर्षित और दुःख में दुःखी हो, उसकी स्त्रियों के विषय में जानने की इच्छा रखे और क्रोध अल्पकालिक ही करे ॥ २२ ॥
