अष्टमीचन्द्रिकादिषु च धात्रेयिका मदनीयमेनां पाययित्वा किञ्चिदात्मनः कार्यमुद्दिश्य नायकस्य विषह्यं देशमानयेत् । तत्रैनां मदात् संज्ञामप्रतिपद्यमानां दूषयित्वेति समानं पूर्वेण ।। २५ ।।

In circumstances such as the eighth day festival dedicated to the moon, the nurse contrives to let the girl drink and, having made her drunk, under the pretext of having something to do, leads her to an isolated place where the boy is to be found. The latter, raping her while she is unconscious, thus accomplishes the marriage.

पैशाचविवाह - अष्टमी, चन्द्रिका आदि उत्सवों पर धाय की पुत्री या सखी नायिका को मदिरा आदि पिलाकर, अपने किसी कार्य के बहाने निरापद स्थान पर ले आये। वहाँ मदिरापान के कारण स्थिति न समझ पाने वाली नायिका को नायक से दूषित कराकर उसके बन्धु बान्धवों से प्रकट कर दिया जाये ॥ २५ ॥
