सम्मुखं तं तु न वीक्षते । वीक्षिता व्रीडां दर्शयति । रुच्यमात्मानोऽङ्गमपदेशेन प्रकाशयति । प्रमत्तं प्रच्छन्नं नायकमतिक्रान्तं च वीक्षते ।। २६ ।।
When he faces her, she does not look at him. When he looks at her, she shows embarrassment. She lets him catch a glimpse of some parts of her pretty limbs and watches to see whether the boy is amorously attentive and is not looking elsewhere.

देखने की रीति अधिकांशतः युवतियाँ सम्मुख खड़े नायक को नहीं देखतीं नायक द्वारा देखे जाने पर लज्जा से मुख नीचा कर लेती है। अपने स्तन आदि मनोहर अंगों को किसी बहाने से दिखाती हैं। यदि नायक उनकी ओर उन्मुख न हो, असावधान हो या दूर हो, तो जी भरकर देखती हैं ॥ २६ ॥
