निधनेशद्वादशांशत्रिकोणे भास्करे मृतिः। निधनेशत्रिकोणे वा सूर्ये व्ययगते तु वा॥६६॥
Find in what Dwadasamsa Rasi the lord of the 8th house is posited. When the Sun in his transit arrives at a Rasi which is triangular to this, death may happen. The same event may also happen when the Sun traverses through Rasi triangular to the lord of the 8th house or a Rasi that is 12th from the Sun.

स्फुटार्कस्य कलाः स्थाप्यास्ता राहुकलिकाहताः। चक्रलिप्ता (21600) हृतालब्धं योजयेत् स्फुटभास्करे॥६७॥
Convert the Sphuta figures of the Sun into minutes. Multiply the same by the minutes denoting the figures for Rahu. Divide the product by 21600. Add the remainder thus obtained to the figures of the Sun.

दृश्यते भास्करो यस्मिंस्तस्मिन्मासे मृतं वदेत्। तत्त्रिकोणगते वाऽपि चाणक्यवचनं यथा॥६८॥
When the Sun in his transit arrives at the Rasi signified by this sum or a Trikona Rasi to this, death may take place. So has Chanakya stated.

चन्द्रनिधनेश्वरस्य त्रिकोणमायाति शीतगौ निधनम्। योगं विधौ तयोर्वा तस्य नवांशत्रिकोणसंस्थे वा॥६९॥
Note the Rasi occupied by the lord of the 8th house reckoned from the Moon. When the Moon in her transit arrives at any one of the Rasis triangular to this, death may happen. Or, add the figures for the Moon and the lord of the 8th house. When the Moon in her transit arrives at a Rasi denoted by this sum, death may take place The same event may also happen when the Moon in her transit arrives at a Rasi triangular to the Navamsa Rasi denoted by the sum above referred to.

जन्मविलग्नोपगताच्चन्द्रोपगतान्नवांशकादथवा। षष्ठे वाष्टमराशौ लग्नगते मरणमादेश्यम्॥७०॥
When the Moon in her transit arrives at the following positions, death of the native may happen: (1) Lagna at birth (2) the Moon at birth (3) and (4) their respective Navamsa Rasis, (5) the 6th house from the Lagna and (6) the 8th house from the Lagna.
