Gherand Samhita
सहितो द्विविधः प्रोक्तः सगर्भश्च निगर्भकः । सगर्भो बीजमुच्चार्य निगर्भो बीजवर्जितः ॥५-४७॥
Including this, Kumbhak is done in two ways. One is Sagarbha and the other is Nigarbha. Sagarbha Kumbhaka is performed with the recitation of Beeja Mantra and Nigarbha without reciting the Beeja Mantra.

यह सहित कुम्भक दो प्रकार से किया जाता है । एक सगर्भ और दूसरा निगर्भ । सगर्भ कुम्भक को बीजमन्त्र के उच्चारण के साथ व निगर्भ को बिना बीजमन्त्र का उच्चारण करे किया जाता है ।
