A vita i.e. a billat (about nine to twelve inches long) long and four fingers (about three inches) wide, soft and thin white cloth should be wrapped over the navel.

एक विता अर्थात् एक बिलात ( लगभग नौ से बारह इंच लम्बा ) लम्बा व चार अँगुल ( लगभग तीन इंच ) चौड़ाई वाला कोमल और सूक्ष्म अर्थात् बारीक सफेद कपड़े को नाभि के ऊपर लपेटने का चाहिए ।
