Gherand Samhita
शनै: शनैश्चालयेत् पार्ष्णिं योनिमाकुञ्चयेच्छन: । जालन्धरे धारयेत् प्राणं महाबन्धो निगद्यते ॥३-१९॥
After this, slowly contract (shrink) the anus and vagina (or penis area). Along with this, apply Jalandhar Bandha while stopping the vital air inside the body. This method is called Mahabandha.
english translation
इसके बाद धीरे- धीरे से गुदास्थान व योनिस्थान (या लिंग स्थान) का आकुंचन ( उसे सिकोड़ें ) करे । इसके साथ ही प्राणवायु को शरीर के अन्दर रोकते हुए जालन्धर बन्ध लगाएं । इस विधि को महाबन्ध कहा गया है ।
