श्वेतचम्पकवर्णाभां गङ्गां पापप्रणाशिनीम् । कृष्णविग्रहसम्भूतां कृष्णतुल्यां परां सतीम् ॥ १॥

sanskrit

I meditate on the Supreme Sati Bhagwati Ganga, who has the complexion like a white Champa flower, who destroys all sins, who originated from the body of Lord Krishna (Vishnu), and who is like him, the devotee of devotees.

english translation

श्वेत चम्पा के पुष्प के समान वर्णवाली, सम्पूर्ण पापों को नष्ट करने वाली, भगवान् कृष्ण (विष्णु) के शरीर से समुत्पन्न, एवं उन्हीं के समान भक्तजनानन्ददायिनी परम सती भगवती गंगा का ध्यान करता हूँ ।

वह्निशुद्धांशुकाधानां रत्नभूषणभूषिताम् । शरत्पूर्णेन्दुशतकप्रभाजुष्टकलेवराम् ॥ २॥

I meditate on her, dressed in blood as pure as fire, adorned with jewels studded with gems, with a beautiful body adorned with the rays of the full moon, with a happy face smiling softly, adorned with eternal youth, supremely peaceful, beloved of Narayana, supremely fortunate.

अग्नि के समान परम शुद्ध रक्तवर्ण का वस्त्र धारण किए हुए, रत्नजटित आभूषणों से विभूषित, शरत्पूर्णिमा के सो चन्द्रमा की कान्तियों से सुशोभित शरीर वाली,

I meditate on the one with a happy face, with a gentle smile, adorned with eternal youth, extremely peaceful, beloved of Narayana, extremely fortunate.

मन्द मन्द मुस्कान से प्रसन्न मुखवाली, सर्वदास्थिर रहनेवाली यौवनावस्था से सुशोभित, परम शान्तिमयी, नारायण की प्रियतमा, परम सौभाग्यशालिनी का ध्यान करता हू I

बिभ्रतीं कबरीभारं मालतीमाल्यसंयुताम् । सिन्दूरबिन्दुललितां सार्धं चन्दनबिन्दुभिः ॥ ४॥

sanskrit

I meditate on the Ganga, who bears the weight of her lovely tresses, is adorned with jasmine flowers, and is decorated with a dot of sandalwood and a beautiful vermilion mark.

english translation

मनोहर केशों के भार को धारण करने वाली, मालती के पुष्पों से सुशोभित, चन्दन बिन्दु के साथ-साथ सुन्दर सिन्दूर की बिन्दी से अलंकृत गंगा का ध्यान करता हूँ।

कस्तूरीपत्रकं गण्डे नानाचित्रसमन्वितम् । पक्वबिम्बसमानैक चार्वोष्ठपुटमुत्तमम् ॥ ५॥

I meditate on Ganga, who has leaves made of musk and various types of paintings on her cheeks and has lower lips like a ripe and beautiful fruit.

कपोल स्थल में कस्तूरी के बने हुए पत्र एवं विविध प्रकार के चित्रों से समलंकृत,पके हुए मनोहर बिम्ब के फल के समान निम्न होण्ठ वाली। गंगा का ध्यान करता हूँ ।
