इन्द्रियाण्युपतप्यन्ते धूमेऽत्यर्थं निषेविते। वर्षे वर्षेऽणुतैलं च कालेषु त्रिषु ना चरेत् ॥५६॥
it should be known that the smoking has been done in excess. ॥ Nasya therapy (nasal errhines), indications and benefits॥ One should take a course of anu taila every year, during three seasons, of the pre-rainy season, the autumn and the spring, when the sky is free from clouds.

One, who practices nasya, per the prescribed method, at the proper time, will keep his sight, smell and hearing unimpaired.

prAvRTzaradvasanteSu gatameghe nabhastale। nasyakarma yathAkAlaM yo yathoktaM niSevate ॥57॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन तस्य चक्षुर्न घ्राणं न श्रोत्रमुपहन्यते। न स्युः श्वेता न कपिलाः केशाः श्मश्रूणि वा पुनः ॥५८॥
His hair and beard will never become white or grey; his hair will not fall off, rather will grow in abundance.

na tasya cakSurna ghrANaM na zrotramupahanyate। na syuH zvetA na kapilAH kezAH zmazrUNi vA punaH ॥58॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptन च केशाः प्रमुच्यन्ते वर्धन्ते च विशेषतः। मन्यास्तम्भः शिरःशूलमर्दितं हनुसङ्ग्रहः ॥५९॥
Torticollis, head-ache, facial paralysis, lock-jaw, rhinitis, hemicrania and tremors of the head will be alleviated thereby.
