प्रारम्भमाणेषु च सर्वकार्येष्वर्कान्विताद्भाद्गणयेद्विलग्नम् । सम्प्तद्विपच्चैति यथा क्रमेण सम्पद्विपच्चैति तथएव वाच्यम् ॥ ९६-११ ॥

At the time of commencement of a work if the rising sign be odd when counted from the sign occupied by the Sun, the work will end well and if it be an even sign the attempt will fail.
