विनिक्षिपन्त्यः सलिले अण्डकानि पिपीलिका वृष्टिनिरोधं आहुः । तरुं स्थलं वाअपि नयन्ति निम्नाद् यदा तदा ताः कथयन्ति वृष्टिम् ॥ ९५-५९ ॥
If ants be seen to throw their eggs in water, there will be no rain and if they be seen to ascend a bank and approach the foot of a tree with their eggs, there will be immediate rain.
