Brihat Samhita
आगच्छन्त्यो वेश्म बम्भारवेण संसेवन्त्यो गोष्ठवृद्ध्यै गवां गाः । आर्द्राङ्ग्यो वा हृष्टरोम्ण्यः प्रहृष्टा धन्या गावः स्युर्महिष्यो अपि चएवम् ॥ ९२-०३ ॥
If cows (go), while coming home with the cry of bambha, be found to be in pursuit of bullocks, there will be an increase of cows in the cow-shed. If cows be found wet or with their hair on end or happy, there will be an increase of wealth. The same remarks apply to buffaloes.
