Brihat Samhita
अवाक्प्रदाने अपि हित अर्थसिद्धिः पूर्वौक्तदिक्चक्रफलैरतो अन्यत् । वाच्यं फलं चौत्तममध्यनीच शाखास्थितायां वरमध्यनीचम् ॥ ८८-४६ ॥
If the bird be mute, then also there will be success. The effects described for the numerous points of the Circle of Horizon apply here also; and if the bird be seated in the topmost branches, the effects will fully come to pass; if in the middle branches, one-half of the effects will alone come to pass.
