अग्निभयं च चतुर्थे भयं आग्नेये च भवति चौरेभ्यः । कोणादपि द्वितीये धनक्षयो नृपसुतविनाशः ॥ ८७-३१ ॥

If the omen occurs in the 4th malefic quarter, there will be fear of injury from fire; if it occurs due south-east, there will be fear from robbers, and if in the 6th malefic quarter, there will be loss of wealth and the death of princes.

agnibhayaM ca caturthe bhayaM Agneye ca bhavati caurebhyaH । koNAdapi dvitIye dhanakSayo nRpasutavinAzaH ॥ 87-31 ॥

प्रमदागर्भविनाशस्तृतीयभागे भवेच्चतुर्थे च । हैरण्यककारुकयोः प्रध्वंसः शस्त्रकोपश्च ॥ ८७-३२ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the 7th malefic quarter, there will be miscarriage of pregnancy, and if in the 8th malefic quarter, there will be the death of dealers in gold and of sculptors as well as fight.

pramadAgarbhavinAzastRtIyabhAge bhaveccaturthe ca । hairaNyakakArukayoH pradhvaMsaH zastrakopazca ॥ 87-32 ॥

अथ पञ्चमे नृपभयं मारीमृतदर्शनं च वक्तव्यम् । षष्ठे तु भयं ज्ञेयं गन्धर्वाणां सडोम्बानाम् ॥ ८७-३३ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature due south, there will be fear from the king and death by plague; if in the 10th malefic quarter, the wandering tribe will suffer miseries.

atha paJcame nRpabhayaM mArImRtadarzanaM ca vaktavyam । SaSThe tu bhayaM jJeyaM gandharvANAM saDombAnAm ॥ 87-33 ॥

धीवरशाकुनिकानां सप्तमभागाद् भयं भवति दीप्ते । भोजनविघात उक्तो निर्ग्रन्थभयं च तत्परतः ॥ ८७-३४ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the 11th malefic quarter, fishermen and fowlers will suffer, and if in the 12th malefic quarter, there will be injury to meals and ascetics will suffer.

dhIvarazAkunikAnAM saptamabhAgAd bhayaM bhavati dIpte । bhojanavighAta ukto nirgranthabhayaM ca tatparataH ॥ 87-34 ॥

कलहो नैरृतभागे रक्तस्रावो अथ शस्त्रकोपश्च । अपराद्ये चर्मकृतं विनश्यते चर्मकारभयम् ॥ ८७-३५ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature due south-west, there will be quarrel, bloodshed and fight, and if in the 14th malefic quarter, there will be injury to articles of leather and workmen in leather will suffer miseries.
