नेमीभागं बुद्ध्वा नाभीभागं च दक्षिणे यो अरः । धार्मिकजनसंयोगस्तत्र भवेद्धर्मलाभश्च ॥ ८७-२१ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the southern spoke, there will be a meeting with virtuous persons and the gain of virtue.

nemIbhAgaM buddhvA nAbhIbhAgaM ca dakSiNe yo araH । dhArmikajanasaMyogastatra bhaveddharmalAbhazca ॥ 87-21 ॥

उस्राक्रीडककापालिकऽगमो नैरृते समुद्दिष्टः । वृषभस्य चात्र लब्धिर्माषकुलत्थऽद्यं अशनं च ॥ ८७-२२ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the south-western spoke, there will be a meeting with a cow, a player and a Kāpālika, and there will also be the gain of a bull, black-gram, horse-gram and the like and meals.

अपरस्यां दिशि यो अरस्तत्रऽसक्तिः कृषीवलैर्भवति । सामुद्रद्रव्यसुसारकाचफलमद्यलब्धिश्च ॥ ८७-२३ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the western spoke, there will be a meeting with farmer and the gain of the productions of the sea, of crystal, of fruits and of liquor.

भारवहतक्षभिक्षुकसन्दर्शनं अपि च वायुदिक्संस्थे । तिलककुसुमस्य लब्धिः सनागपुन्नागकुसुमस्य ॥ ८७-२४ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the north-western spoke, there will be a meeting with a porter, a carpenter and an ascetic, and there will also be the gain of the flowers of the Tilaka, the piper-betel and of the Punnāga.

bhAravahatakSabhikSukasandarzanaM api ca vAyudiksaMsthe । tilakakusumasya labdhiH sanAgapunnAgakusumasya ॥ 87-24 ॥

कौबेर्यां दिशि यो अरस्तत्रस्थो वित्तलाभं आख्याति । भागवतेन समागमनम् आचष्टे पीतवस्त्रैश्च ॥ ८७-२५ ॥

If the omen be the cry of a creature in the northern spoke, there will be gain of wealth and there will also be a meeting with a devout person and with a person dressed in yellow robes.
