परयोनिषु गच्छन्तो मैथुनं देशनाशनाः । अन्यत्र वेसरौत्पत्तेर्नृणां चाजातिमैथुनात् ॥ ८६-६६ ॥
Except in the case of an ass and a mare for the generation of a mule and the case of a man and a woman of different castes joining in sexual union, if a creature of one species be found to copulate with a creature of another species, the country will meet with ruin.
