व्याघ्रऋक्षवानरद्वीपिमहिषाः सबिलेशयाः । हेमन्ते निष्फला ज्ञेया बालाः सर्वे विमानुषाः ॥ ८६-२८ ॥
The tiger, the bear, the monkey, the leopard, the buffalo, and the serpent, as well as the young of animals other than human shall not be treated as omens in the Hemanta season (from middle of November to middle of January).
