आद्यः प्लवङ्गो नवमे युगे अब्दः स्यात्कीलको अन्यः परतश्च सौम्यः । साधारणो रोधकृदित्य् अथएवं शुभप्रदौ कीलकसौम्यसंज्ञौ ॥ ८-४३ ॥
The first year of the ninth yuga is Plavaṅga, the next year is known as Kīlaka, the third is known as Saumya and the last two years are known as Sādhāraṇa and Rodhakṛt respectively; of these, during the years Kīlaka and Saumya mankind will be happy.
