याते द्वितीये प्रहरे विहाय दद्यात्शिरस्यामलकप्रलेपम् । संछाद्य पत्रैः प्रहरद्वयेन प्रक्षालितं कार्ष्ण्यं उपैति शीर्षम् ॥ ७७-०३ ॥
Then remove the mixture from the hair, and rub over them the paste of the fruit of the Āmalaka (Emblic myrobolam); cover them with moist leaves as before and remain so for another six hours; bathe as prescribed below; the hair will become black.
