वक्षो अथ कक्षा नखनासिकाआस्यं कृकाटिका चैति षडुन्नतानि । ह्रस्वानि चत्वारि च लिङ्गपृष्ठं ग्रीवा च जङ्घे च हितप्रदानि ॥ ६८-८६ ॥

The breast, arm-pit, nails, nose, face and the nape of the neck must be high; the penis, the back, the neck and the shanks must be short.

english translation

vakSo atha kakSA nakhanAsikAAsyaM kRkATikA caiti SaDunnatAni । hrasvAni catvAri ca liGgapRSThaM grIvA ca jaGghe ca hitapradAni ॥ 68-86 ॥

नेत्रान्तपादकरताल्वधरोष्ठजिह्वा रक्ता नखाश्च खलु सप्त सुखऽवहानि । सूक्ष्माणि पञ्च दशनाङ्गुलिपर्वकेशाः साकं त्वचा कररुहा न च दुःखितानाम् ॥ ६८-८७ ॥

The corners of the eyes, soles of feet, palm of the hand, the corners of the mouth, the lower lip, the upper lip and the tongue must be red. Teeth, fingers, hair of the head, the skin and nails must be soft or smooth.

netrAntapAdakaratAlvadharoSThajihvA raktA nakhAzca khalu sapta sukha'vahAni । sUkSmANi paJca dazanAGguliparvakezAH sAkaM tvacA kararuhA na ca duHkhitAnAm ॥ 68-87 ॥

हनुलोचनबाहुनासिकाः स्तनयोरन्तरं अत्र पञ्चमम् । इति दीर्घं इदं तु पञ्चकं न भवत्येव नृणां अभूभृताम् ॥ ६८-८८ ॥

The five viz., the mouth, the eyes, the arms, the nose and the part between the nipples must be long.

hanulocanabAhunAsikAH stanayorantaraM atra paJcamam । iti dIrghaM idaM tu paJcakaM na bhavatyeva nRNAM abhUbhRtAm ॥ 68-88 ॥

छाया शुभाशुभफलानि निवेदयन्ती लक्ष्या मनुष्यपशुपक्षिषु लक्षणज्ञैः । तेजोगुणान्बहिरपि प्रविकाशयन्ती दिपप्रभा स्फटिकरत्नघटस्थिताइव ॥ ६८-८९ ॥

Complexion (mṛja) in man, animals and birds is detected by persons learned in the matter and indicate both good and evil and is like a lamp placed within a crystal vessel throwing its light on the objects around.

english translation

chAyA zubhAzubhaphalAni nivedayantI lakSyA manuSyapazupakSiSu lakSaNajJaiH । tejoguNAnbahirapi pravikAzayantI dipaprabhA sphaTikaratnaghaTasthitAiva ॥ 68-89 ॥

स्निग्धद्विजत्वग्नखरोमकेशाश् छाया सुगन्धा च महीसमुत्था । तुष्ट्यर्थलाभाभ्युदयान्करोति धर्मस्य चाहन्यहनि प्रवृत्तिम् ॥ ६८-९० ॥

The complexion discernible in shining teeth, skin, nails and hair of the body and of the head will be attended with good smell if it be caused by the element of earth. It will make the person happy, rich, prosperous and virtuous.

snigdhadvijatvagnakharomakezAz chAyA sugandhA ca mahIsamutthA । tuSTyarthalAbhAbhyudayAnkaroti dharmasya cAhanyahani pravRttim ॥ 68-90 ॥
