रुदितं अदीनं अनश्रु स्निग्धं च शुभऽवहं मनुष्याणाम् । रूक्षं दीनं प्रचुराश्रु चएव न शुभप्रदं पुंसाम् ॥ ६८-७३ ॥
If the weeping be without tears, agreeable to the ear and not of an imploring nature, the person will be happy; if otherwise, he will be miserable.
