पञ्चौन्नतिः सप्त मृगस्य दैर्घ्यम् अष्टौ च हस्ताः परिणाहमानम् । एकद्विवृद्धावथ मन्दभद्रौ सङ्कीर्ननागो अनियतप्रमाणः ॥ ६७-०४ ॥
The Mṛga class of elephants are 5 cubits high, 7 cubits long and 8 cubits broad. The Manda and Bhadra classes are larger by one and two cubits respectively in each respect. No fixed measurement is prescribed for the Saṅkīrṇa class of elephants.
