तिन्तिडीइत्यपि करोति वल्लरीं व्रीहिमाषतिलचूर्णसक्तुभिः । पूतिमांससहितैश्च सेचिता धूपिता च सततं हरिद्रया ॥ ५५-२१ ॥

Mix together the flour of rice, black gram and sesamum seeds with the flour of barley (fried before ground) with the dead or decayed flesh, and with a small quantity of water; soak the seed of the tamarind in the mixture and expose it to the smoke of the root of the turmeric. The seed when sown will grow as a creeper.

कपित्थवल्लीकरणाय मूलान्य् आस्फोतधात्रीधववासिकानाम् । पलाशिनी वेतससूर्यबल्ली श्यामातिमुक्तैः सहिताष्टमूली ॥ ५५-२२ ॥

Put into the milk of the cow the roots of Asphota, Dhātrī, Dhava, Vāsikā, Palāśinī, Vetasā, Sūryavallī, Śyāmā and Atimuktā and heat the milk on fire; after it has cooled, put into it the seed of the Kapittha and allow it to soak for 100 ghaṭikas and dry the seed in the sun for 30 days, if the seed be then sown in the soil it will grow as a creeper.

क्षीरे शृते चाप्यनया सुशीते ताला शतं स्थाप्य कपित्थबीजम् । दिने दिने शोषितं अर्कपादैर् मासं विधिस्त्वेष ततो अधिरोप्यम् ॥ ५५-२३ ॥

Place one hundred kapittha seeds in a well-cooled mixture of milk and salt. This is the method of drying the plants day by day under the sun’s rays for a month, and then planting them on the ground.

हस्तऽयतं तद्द्विगुणं गभीरं खात्वाअवटं प्रोक्तजलावपूर्णम् । शुष्कं प्रदग्धं मधुसर्पिषा तत् प्रलेपयेद्भस्मसमन्वितन ॥ ५५-२४ ॥

Dig a hole twice as deep as the width of a hand and fill it with the water mentioned above. If the mixture is dry and burnt, one should smear it with honey and butter mixed with ashes.

चूर्णीकृतैर्माषतिलैर्यवैश्च प्रपूरयेद्मृत्तिकयाअन्तरस्थैः । मत्स्यामिषाम्भस् सहितं च हन्याद् यावद्घनत्वं समुपागतं तत् ॥ ५५-२५ ॥

Fill the inside with powdered meat, sesame seeds and barley. The fish should be killed along with the meat and water until it becomes thick.
