यदि कण्टकारिका कण्टकैर्विना दृश्यते सितैः कुसुमैः । तस्यास्तले अम्बु वाच्यं त्रिभिर्नरैरर्धपुरुषे च ॥ ५४-५७ ॥
If the Kaṇṭakārikā should be seen to grow without thorns or with white blossoms, there will be a current at the spot at a depth of three men and a half.
