आमे वा मृत्पात्रे श्वभ्रस्थे दीपवर्तिरभ्यधिकम् । ज्वलति दिशि यस्य शस्ता सा भूमिस्तस्य वर्णस्य ॥ ५३-९२ ॥
Or place an unborn earthen vessel in the pit; and in it burn a wick. The ground will be fit for the use of that class of men in whose direction the flame is seen to be inclined.
