वधबन्धो रिपुवृद्धिः सुतधनलाभः समस्तगुणसम्पत् । पुत्रधनाप्तिर्वैरं सुतेन दोषाः स्त्रिया नैःस्वम् ॥ ५३-७३ ॥
If the gate is opened in any of the 8 northern squares beginning from the north-western corner, the effects will respectively be increase of cruelty and kinsmen, increase of the enemy, gain of wealth and sons, the possession of all virtues, the acquisition of sons and wealth, hatred of sons, the loss of character of women and the loss of wealth.
