दण्डवधो दण्डाख्ये कलहौद्वेगः सदैव वातबाख्ये । वित्तविनाशश्चुल्ल्यां ज्ञातिविरोधः स्मृतः काचे ॥ ५३-४१ ॥

The Daṇḍa house will bring on death by daṇḍa or a club; the Vāta house will bring on fears and disturbance; the Cullī house will destroy wealth, and the Kāca house will bring on the enmity of kinsmen.

english translation

daNDavadho daNDAkhye kalahaudvegaH sadaiva vAtabAkhye । vittavinAzazcullyAM jJAtivirodhaH smRtaH kAce ॥ 53-41 ॥

एकाशीतिविभागे दश दश पूर्वोत्तरायता रेखाः । अन्तस्त्रयोदश सुरा द्वात्रिंशद्बाह्यकोष्ठस्थाः ॥ ५३-४२ ॥

Divide the house ground into 81 squares by 10 lines drawn from cast to west and 10 lines drawn from north to south. 32 Devas occupy the 32 exterior squares and 13 Devas occupy the inner squares (as follows):

शिखिपर्जन्यजयन्तैन्द्रसूर्यसत्या भृशो अन्तरिक्षश्च । ऐशान्यादि क्रमशो दक्षिणपूर्वे अनिलः कोणे ॥ ५३-४३ ॥

Squares marked 1, 9, 81 and 73 are respectively the northeastern, south-eastern, north-western and south-western comers. The eight eastern squares from 1 to 8 are respectively occupied by the Devas Agni, Parjanya, Jayanta, Indra, Sūrya. Satyā, Bhṛśa and Antariksa.

शोषो अथ पापयक्ष्मा रोगः कोणे ततो अहिमुख्यौ च । भल्लाटसोमभुजगास्ततो अदितिर्दितिरिति क्रमशः ॥ ५३-४५ ॥

Dryness, then sinful tuberculosis, disease in the corner, and then the two heads of snakes. From Bhallāta, Soma and Bhujaga, came Aditi and Diti, respectively.
