पुंस्त्रीनपुंसकऽख्ये दृष्टे अनुमिते पुरःस्थिते स्पृष्टे । तज्जन्म भवति पानान्नपुष्पफलदर्शने च शुभम् ॥ ५१-३६ ॥
When seen, inferred, or touched in front of the male, female or male. That birth is auspicious for drinking, eating, seeing flowers and fruits.

puMstrInapuMsaka'khye dRSTe anumite puraHsthite spRSTe । tajjanma bhavati pAnAnnapuSpaphaladarzane ca zubham ॥ 51-36 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptअङ्गुष्ठेन भ्रूउदरं वाअङ्गुलिं वा स्पृष्ट्वा पृच्छेद्गर्भचिन्ता तदा स्यात् । मध्वाज्याद्यैर्हेमरत्नप्रवालैर् अग्रस्थैर्वा मातृधात्र्यात्मजैश्च ॥ ५१-३७ ॥
One should touch the eyebrows, abdomen or fingers with one’s thumb and ask if one is worried about pregnancy. They may offer honey, oil, gold, jewels, corals, or the children of their mothers and fathers.

aGguSThena bhrUudaraM vAaGguliM vA spRSTvA pRcchedgarbhacintA tadA syAt । madhvAjyAdyairhemaratnapravAlair agrasthairvA mAtRdhAtryAtmajaizca ॥ 51-37 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptगर्भयुता जठरे करगे स्याद् दुष्टनिमित्तवशात्तदुदासः । कर्षति तज्जठरं यदि पीठ उत्पीडनतण् करगे च करे अपि ॥ ५१-३८ ॥
If the hand is seen on the belly, the matter relates to pregnancy; if bad omen should occur, the matter does not relate to pregnancy; if the belly be pulled or the seat be disturbed, or if the hands be seen one over the other, the matter does not relate to pregnancy.

garbhayutA jaThare karage syAd duSTanimittavazAttadudAsaH । karSati tajjaTharaM yadi pITha utpIDanataN karage ca kare api ॥ 51-38 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptघ्राणाया दक्षिणे द्वारे स्पृष्टे मासोत्तरं वदेत् । वामे अब्दौ कर्ण एवं मा द्विचतुर्घ्नः श्रुतिस्तने ॥ ५१-३९ ॥
if the right nostril be touched, the delivery will occur after a month; if the left nostril be touched, after two months; not so if the ears be touched, but after two months, if the right ear be touched, and after four months, if the left ear be touched; also after four months if the right nipple be touched, and after eight months if the left nipple be touched.

ghrANAyA dakSiNe dvAre spRSTe mAsottaraM vadet । vAme abdau karNa evaM mA dvicaturghnaH zrutistane ॥ 51-39 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptवेणीमूले त्रीन्सुतान्कन्यके द्वे कर्णे पुत्रान्पञ्च हस्ते त्रयं च । अङ्गुष्ठान्ते पञ्चकं चानुपूर्व्या पादाङ्गुष्ठे पार्ष्णियुग्मे अपि कन्याम् ॥ ५१-४० ॥
The root of the plaited hair indicates 3 sons, the ears indicate 2 daughters, the hands 5 sons, the tip of the thumb 3 sons, the tip of the big toe 5 sons, the two heels a daughter.
