तस्मिन्काले सान्निध्यं अस्य तेनौपचर्यते राहुः । याम्योत्तरा शशिगतिर्गणिते अप्युपचर्यते तेन ॥ ५-१५ ॥

At that time, Rāhu is said to be ‘present’ there only by figurative convention. In the same way, the Moon’s motion is described as southward or northward even in mathematical calculations.

tasminkAle sAnnidhyaM asya tenaupacaryate rAhuH । yAmyottarA zazigatirgaNite apyupacaryate tena ॥ 5-15 ॥
