अशुभनिमित्तौत्पत्तौ शास्त्रज्ञः शान्तिं आदिशेद्राज्ञः । शस्तनिमित्तः पट्टो नृपराष्ट्रविवृद्धये भवति ॥ ४९-०८ ॥
If, while the paṭṭa is being made, evil omens should occur, the learned astrologer shall prescribe expiatory ceremonies for the benefit of the king. If good omens should occur at the time there would be an increase of territory.
