मासत्रयेण विन्द्यात्तस्मिन्निःसंशयं परऽगमनम् । तत्प्रतिघातायएतौ श्लोकौ गर्गेण निर्दिष्टौ ॥ ४६-५६ ॥
Within three months, one will undoubtedly know of the departure of the soul. To counteract that, Garga prescribed these two verses.
english translation
त्यागो विवासनं दानं तत्तस्यऽशु शुभं भवेत् । तर्पयेद्ब्राह्मणांश्चात्र जपहोमांश्च कारयेत् ॥ ४६-५७ ॥
Relinquishment, abandonment, and charity—these shall quickly result in his well-being. Here, one should satisfy the brāhmaṇas and have them perform recitations and burnt offerings.

स्थालीपाकेन धातारं पशुना च पुरोहितः । प्राजापत्येन मन्त्रेण यजेद्बह्वन्नदक्षिणम् ॥ ४६-५८ ॥
The animals shall either be rejected or expelled to foreign lands or given away to others. The Brāhmaṇas shall also be satisfied with presents. Japa and Homa ceremonies shall also be performed.

यानं वाहवियुक्तं यदि गच्छेन्न व्रजेच्च वाहयुतम् । राष्ट्रभयं भवति तदा चक्राणां सादभङ्गे च ॥ ४६-५९ ॥
The priest shall satisfy God Dhātā by the offer of rice to fire and by animal sacrifice by means of the Prājāpatya mantras; Brāhmaṇas shall also be fed largely and given money.
english translation
गीतरवतूर्यशब्दा नभसि यदा वा चरस्थिरान्यत्वम् । मृत्युस्तदा गदा वा विस्वतूर्ये पराभिभवः ॥ ४६-६० ॥
If vehicles should move when not drawn by horses or other animals, or if they should refuse to move when so drawn, the country would suffer from various fears and the army would perish.
