अशुभऽकृतिघनगन्धर्वनगरनीहार धूमपांशुयुता । प्रावृषि करोत्यवग्रहं अन्यर्तौ शस्त्रकोपकरी ॥ ३०-२१ ॥
If during the rainy season the twilight hours should be marked by the appearance of clouds shaped maletically, if the clouds should assume shapes known as Gandharvanagara (air-castles), and if the sky should be filled with snow, dust and smoke, there will be drought; if the same things should occur in any other season, there will be wars in the land.

azubha'kRtighanagandharvanagaranIhAra dhUmapAMzuyutA । prAvRSi karotyavagrahaM anyartau zastrakopakarI ॥ 30-21 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptशिशिरादिषु वर्णाः शोणपीतसितचित्रपद्मरुधिरनिभाः । प्रकृतिभवाः सन्ध्यायां स्वर्तौ शस्ता विकृतिरन्या ॥ ३०-२२ ॥
If in the Śiśira (dewy) and other seasons of the year, the twilight sky should be naturally red, yellow, white or variegated in colour, or of the colour of lotus or of blood, there will be prosperity in the land during such seasons; but if the colour be not a natural one, that is, brought on by dust-storms and the like, mankind will suffer miseries.

zizirAdiSu varNAH zoNapItasitacitrapadmarudhiranibhAH । prakRtibhavAH sandhyAyAM svartau zastA vikRtiranyA ॥ 30-22 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptआयुधभृन्नररूपं छिन्नाभ्रं परभयाय रविगामि । सितखपुरे अर्कऽक्रान्ते पुरलाभो भेदने नाशः ॥ ३०-२३ ॥
If a cloud shaped like a man with a weapon in his hand should appear broken and in this state move in the direction of the Sun, there will be fear from enemies; if the sun should appear to enter clouds of the shape of a white town, the ruler will get a new town and add it to his possessions,
english translation
AyudhabhRnnararUpaM chinnAbhraM parabhayAya ravigAmi । sitakhapure arka'krAnte puralAbho bhedane nAzaH ॥ 30-23 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptसितसितान्तघनऽवरणं रवेर् भवति वृष्टिकरं यदि सव्यतः । यदि च वीरणगुल्मनिभैर्घनैर् दिवसभर्तुरदीप्तदिगुद्भवैः ॥ ३०-२४ ॥
If white, thick clouds should come forth from the south and conceal the Sun, there will be rain; if clouds bush-like in shape and rising in quarters other than that in the direction of the Sun and conceal the Sun, there will also be rain.

sitasitAntaghana'varaNaM raver bhavati vRSTikaraM yadi savyataH । yadi ca vIraNagulmanibhairghanair divasabharturadIptadigudbhavaiH ॥ 30-24 ॥
hk transliteration by Sanscriptनृपविपत्तिकरः परिघः सितः क्षतजतुल्यवपुर्बलकोपकृत् । कनकरूपधरो बलवृद्धिदः सवितुरुद्गमकालसमुत्थितः ॥ ३०-२५ ॥
If at sunrise the appearance known as Parigha should appear white, the reigning prince will suffer; if of blood color, his army will revolt; and if of the colour of gold, the army will gain in strength.
