शुककपोतविलोचनसन्निभो मधुनिभश्च यदा हिमदीधितिः । प्रतिशशी च यदा दिवि राजते पतति वारि तदा न चिरेण च ॥ २८-११ ॥

When the Moon (the cold-rayed one) appears like the eyes of a parrot or a pigeon, or shines with a honey-like hue, and when a mock moon (lunar halo) glows in the sky, then rain falls soon, without delay.

english translation

zukakapotavilocanasannibho madhunibhazca yadA himadIdhitiH । pratizazI ca yadA divi rAjate patati vAri tadA na cireNa ca ॥ 28-11 ॥
